postheadericon Why Custom Fitting Golf Clubs Is Beneficial

A good thing about custom fitting is that the alterations can be done to one's existing golf clubs. Nowadays, many people are having their playing instruments custom fitted. The benefit in doing so is that any given player's style is taken into consideration. The adjustments are then made to best suit that person and thereby, improve their game.

The exact details of custom fitting revolve around personal swing styles as well as height and build. Professional players have been doing it for years already. During this time, manufacturers have also been improving the products sold to the general public. This has helped greatly, but the problem is that any general design is still a generic design, and cannot cater to one's exact style.

Many specialist stores, fitting centers and pro shops are able to have instruments custom fitted. All that needs to happen is that the customer needs to hit a few balls while a computer evaluates the swings. This computer is known as a launch monitor.

Once the customer has completed this process, the launch monitor will show its findings. These findings are an analysis of the customer's swing style. It shows suggestions regarding how that person's instruments need to be modified to best suit the swing style, even detailing the necessary angle adjustments. All in all, this whole process takes less than half an hour.

What is also discovered during the fitting are what clubs would be ideal for the player to purchase in the future. These are decided based on what most matches the player's style or covers an area of weakness.

Having one's own golf clubs custom fitted will usually cost a small fee. This price is not static, however. In addition, if the fitting is done on new clubs, there is often no additional fee. The fitting is then considered part of the purchase.
