postheadericon Labrador Training - Train Your Pet For Obedience

Labradors can be quite a handful occasionally, especially when they are still pups. That is why teaching your labrador training while they are still a young puppy dog is a great idea. You desire your puppy to grow up and not have to bother about him terrorizing your property, or maybe pouncing over the neighbors, or various other dangerous stuffs.

Starting when your puppy is very young, often 8 weeks, or the day you bring him home for the first time is the best time to start basic training.

You should demonstrate him around a little bit and get him used to the site he will be living, but after that you will begin training.

A good place to start is by teaching your puppy his name. It may take a while for him to get the hang of it, but most labs learn very quickly and it really shouldn't take more than a few days if you are consistent with it.

Keep in mind that goodies as well as compliments perform perfectly and you should usually make use of them during the time of Labrador dog training.

Feasting your puppy on the family table is not a good strategy. As soon as your puppy dog grows up he will be a beggar and also wait for you to throw him some foods. It's not often the wrong thing but it could get extremely frustrating when you've got company.

Obedience training can be a handful at first, but as your puppy learns what he can and cannot do things will get easier. One of the great joys of owning a Labrador I think is the training you give them. You are the master and they will learn whatever you teach them.

You still need to be able to communicate with them effectively however a Labrador retriever is really an easy dog to train when it comes to obedience training, and as long as you train him the right way, you will have a very obedient dog when he grows up.
